Alfred Kauerauf, retired factory worker and part time musician’s love of Life did not end with his
passing on March 25, 2022 at the age of 88. He was born in Nuernberg, Germany and learned how to survive WWII. But the horrors of war
did not take away his love for Life. Simple pleasures brought him the most joy. He loved nature and spent much of his life exploring the Austrian Alps.
He was also an entertainer that enjoyed playing the guitar and getting people to sing and dance. The love of his life, Ursula, shared his love for nature, music and good food. He also loved to cook and nothing made him happier than to have people praise his cooking. Alfred was a wonderful father to his two children whom he always made his priority in Life. Family was everything for him. He left his home in Germany at the age of 81, to live with his daughter and his grandchildren in Clarksville, TN.
He is survived by his children; Elke Sampson of Clarksville, TN and Alexander Kauerauf of Berndorf, Germany; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his nephew, Alfred Kauerauf of Germany.
He will be missed by all that knew him and witnessed his love for Life, his endurance, and his
fighting spirit.
At his request, there will be no funeral services. He wanted to be remembered as he was in life. He was a hard working man, generous, a loving father and grandfather, a musician, and an extraordinary person.
