Allen Joe Wayne Rowe

Allen Joe Wayne Rowe, known to family and friends as “Big Red”, passed from this life on September 25, 2024. Allen was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on February 3, 1956, to Allie and Mary Rowe. 

He enjoyed travel, and throughout his adult life lived in California, Colorado, Florida, Kansas, and Texas before settling in Clarksville, TN in 2018. Allen enjoyed a good joke from others and always had a twinkle in his eye and a joke or funny story on his lips. He enjoyed flirting and many nurses can tell of his compliments which usually began with “Hi, girlfriend…”.

Allen is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Georgianna (Paul) Finkenkeller of Clarksville, Tennessee; brothers: Carl Rowe of Clarksville, Tennessee, Mike Lee of Cape Coral, Florida, and Kelly Rowe of Pryor, Oklahoma; and seven nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, and staff who tended to Allen the past six years with such care and good humor. A special thanks to AHC Senior Living and Gentiva Hospice who made his final months as comfortable and comforting as possible.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life in Oklahoma at a date yet to be determined.
