October 18, 1975 — February 20, 2025

Fort Campbell

Beth Marie Cogan-Barnes, 49, of Beacon Falls, Connecticut passed away on February 20, 2025, with her devoted husband by her side in Fort Campbell, KY, after a beautiful 17 years of marriage and 35 years of loving each other. Beth was the daughter of the late Ralph F Cogan, Jr. and Irene Wildman.

Beth was a hard worker no matter what she was doing she would put her all in, from working at Trader Joe’s to being a manager at a pharmacy but the most important job to her was being mom. Her kids were always her first priority, being their biggest supporter and encouraging them to believe in themselves. Her patience and understanding was endless, always filling the home she created with love and nurture. Beth was an army wife, despite the challenges of her husbands deployments, she remained a steadfast pillar of support. Her love for him never wavered even the times they were miles apart. Her dedication to her husband and their life together was a testament to her incredible strength and the deep love they shared.

Beth will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family and friends. The way she was a home for her nieces and nephews, and treated her children’s friends like her own. Her selflessness, the way she took people in and cared for them, her kindness and generosity. She had a love for reading, cooking and watching her favorite shows. Her gentle spirit will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, James Barnes 55; children: Jason Cogan 28, Samantha Delaney 26, and Faith Cogan 20; son-in-law, William Delaney 36; granddaughter, Arden Delaney 7, all of Beacon Falls; brothers, Michael Cogan 50 of Torrington, CT and Edmond Cogan 60 of Derby, CT; and multiple nieces and nephews. Beth is preceded in death by her father, Ralph F Cogan, Jr. and mother, Irene Wildman.
