Christopher Thomas Hale

Christopher Hale, age 56, of Joelton, TN passed away February 23, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne; son, Thomas (11); daughter, Julie Knotts; son-in-law, Bruce Knotts; two sisters, Alice Shepherd and Connie Mason; sister-in-law, Brenda Hale; three brothers: Art, George, and Steve Hale. He is preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Billie Hale and brother, Michael Hale.

Chris was born on November 8, 1967, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He graduated from Austin Peay State University and worked at Centennial Medical Center in IT and Nuclear Medicine. Chris and Suzanne started dating in the fall of 2000 and married on April 12, 2003, they were together for 23 years. Chris gladly accepted a father role to Suzanne’s daughter, Julie, and raised her as his own. Chris and Suzanne welcomed their son, Thomas into the world in 2012. Chris saw Thomas as the miracle that came later in his life.

Chris was a devoted father, a cherished husband, a respected professional, loyal friend, and a Christian. He enjoyed his season tickets to Vanderbilt basketball and was an avid runner on the weekends. He was a natural problem solver and loved building Legos, especially with his son. He enjoyed Drum Corp International, Phantom Regiment in particular. Chris, Suzanne, and Thomas spent vacation every October in Destin, Florida and spent baseball season taking trips to St. Louis to watch the Cardinals. He was a devout member of Bearwallow Church of Christ.

Chris' life was full of love and light. His footprint on those around him was insurmountable and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life for Christopher Hale will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Bearwallow Church of Christ, 1520 Bearwallow Road, Ashland City, TN 37015
