CW2 Bobby Andrew O'Dell, ARMY (Ret)

Retired Warrant Officer Bobby O’Dell, age 67, passed away on June 3, 2023 surrounded by his loving wife, Missy O’dell; son, Zachary O’dell; and sister, Donna Weeks. He is survived by three children and seven grandchildren.

Bobby served his country with honor and distinction for 22 years as an Intelligence Warrant Officer in the United States Army. He was highly regarded by his colleagues and superiors for his dedication, professionalism, and leadership.

After retiring from the Army, Bobby enjoyed spending time with his family and pursuing his passions. He was an avid traveler and loved exploring new places with his wife. He also enjoyed boating and spent many happy hours on the water with his family and friends. In his later years, he discovered a love for RVs and enjoyed many road trips with his wife and son.

Bobby also spent countless hours volunteering at Barsanti Elementary School on Fort Campbell where his wife served as a teacher. Bobby loved helping the children learn and assisting them with any problems. He was present so much, the children thought he was the principal!

Bobby was also a devoted dog owner and his furry friend, Dolly was a constant companion throughout his retirement years. Dolly was more than just a pet, she was a cherished member of the family and brought him great joy and comfort. Dolly provided him with unconditional love and companionship, and was a source of comfort and support to him in his final moments.

Bobby will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering loyalty to his loved ones. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of all those whose lives he touched.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the ASPCA in memory of Mr. Bobby.
