Dawn Laurel Wilyard (Cannell)

Dawn Cannell Wilyard, 52, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at home after a brief battle with cancer. 

She is survived by her husband, Billy Wilyard; sisters, Kristine (Eric) Dubielak and Aileen Cannell; brothers: Doyle, Jeremiah, and Charlie (Rebecca) Cannell; nephews: Justin (Abagail) and Jacob Dubielak, Ricky Benites, and Ethan Luedee; nieces: Julianna Dubielak, Maddison Boggan, Taylor Stanhope, Abigail (Corbin) Katterman, and McKenna and Kinsley Cannell; great nieces: Rialey and Adelyn Dubielak, Emily and Jaycee Elinburg, Hazel Berti, and Alexandria Benites; great nephews: Hayden Dubielak and Maddox Katterman; step-son, William Wilyard; "aunt", Wanda Jenkins; cousins, Chris (Jennifer) Holloway and Sean Reed; and many other friends and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dianne Roden; father, Doyle Cannell; sister, Lanelle Stanhope; niece, Meghan Dubielak; nephew, Bailey Stanhope; and great nephew, Sawyer Dubielak.

Dawn was an avid animal lover and worked/volunteered for shelters and wild life rehabs for years. Dawn was loved by so many and she will be missed beyond comprehension. We cannot be sad for her. Her family and friends all have a "peace that surpasses all understanding." She has longed for Heaven since accepting Christ nearly 10 years ago. There is no doubt she is with Jesus, where there is no more pain. Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also." Thank you Jesus for your love, mercy, and answered prayers.
