Delores J (Wohlfert) Gladstone

Delores J. Gladstone, 85, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023 peacefully at home after a brief illness. She was born on September 14, 1937 in Lansing, Michigan to Cyril and Bernice Wohlfert.

Delores was married to James on January 1, 1972 and they shared seven children. She lived most of her life in Michigan raising her children and helping with many of her grandchildren. She owned her own domestic house cleaning business and was proud to work into her early 70's. She spent several years in Florida after retiring with friends. Outside of spending time with family, she enjoyed time with her dogs, gardening, crocheting, and playing cards. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed listening to music with good friends. She will be remembered for her ability to meet a friend anywhere she went and for her fun-loving and playful demeanor.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Ferral Gladstone, who passed away in 2005; daughter, Debby Briske; and sons, Paul Cowles and James F. Gladstone, Jr. She is survived by four children: Rachele "Shelly" Rainey, Sherry Gladstone, Kevin Gladstone, and James "Jimmy" (Stacy) Gladstone II; siblings: Leon Wohlfert, Keith Wohlfert, Ken (Kathy) Wohlfert, and Betty (John) Ruswinckel; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and beloved friends.

Per her request, she will be cremated.

A Celebration of Life was held with her prior to her passing. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to either the American Cancer Society or the Huron Valley Humane Society.
