Dennis Edward Downey

Dennis E. Downey, 72, went to be with our Heavenly Father on February 10, 2022. He was born on December 5, 1949 in Jacksonville, Alabama to Hoyt and
Corene Downey.

In addition to his parents, Dennis is preceded in death by his son, David; brothers: Elbert, Donald, and Ronald; and sisters: Doris, Nellie, Juanita, and Ida. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debra Wiederhold Downey; daughters, Denra (Christopher) Riley, Danielle Downey, and Dayna (David) Calderonhernandez; grandchildren: Kayleigh, Jace, Ian, Reilly, and Elias; step grandchildren, Landon and Abigail Calderon; brother, Durro Ray Downey; and many other friends and family.

Dennis graduated from Mount Clemens High School in Mt. Clemens, Michigan in 1968. He enjoyed playing and watching Baseball, Alabama Football, Nascar, hunting, and traveling.

There will be no funeral services. Tennessee Cremation Care will be handling his cremation. A Celebration of Life will take place during the
summer.
