He was born on May 12, 1941 in DeKalb, Illinois to William Fleetwood and Ruth (Edwards) Fleetwood. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Sue Fleetwood of Hopkinsville; son, Micah Fleetwood; and daughter, Magan Leary.
