Edwin Meek, 93, passed away on January 7, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. Edwin was born on July 11, 1931 in Clarksville, TN on the same property he later raised his own family on. Edwin and his late wife Rebecca Ann Meek would have celebrated 70 years of marriage this month. Together they raised their family and were beloved parents, grandparents, and great grandparents.
Edwin spent much of his life working with his brothers on their dairy farm. After many years of dedicated service, he retired from Trane, only to continue his love of working on the farm at home. In 1978, Edwin dedicated his life and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s witnesses. He spent many years serving in the congregation as a literature servant and building life long friendships. His love for the outdoors, his strong work ethic, and devotion to both his family and his faith were hallmarks of his character.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lottie Meek; brothers: Herman, James Franklin, and Glenn Meek; and beloved wife, Rebecca Ann Meek. Edwin is survived by his daughter, Debra (Daivd) Dupont; son, David (Sherri) Meek; grandchildren: Lyndsay (Josh) Aguire, Laurel Dupont, Lana (Ethan) Lewis, Kylie (Rex) Coronado, and Madalynn Meek; and cherished great-grandchildren: Isabella, Elijah, and Abigail Aguire.
A memorial service will be held on January 25, 2025, at 1:30 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 1747 Ashland City Road.
