Gary Wayne Gray

It is with great sadness that the family of Gary Wayne Gray announces that he has departed this life in the early hours of July 9, 2023, at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, Tennessee. Gary was a loving and caring father, brother, son, and friend. Gary had a love for classic rock and one of his favorite songs was "Free Bird:. Gary lived with his best friend, Donnie and his son, Joey in Paris, Tennessee. While living in Paris, Gary gained adopted family and friends whom lovingly called him Gar-Bear. Gary and his siblings were raised by Dewey and Vema Adams, known to them as Mama and Daddy.

In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by his father, James Leroy Gray. He is survived by his mother, Juanita Jean Tyndall; sisters: Darlene (Jimmy) Pissanos, Nancy (David) Batt, Ann (Carey) Payne, and Beckie (Richard) Dissmore; brother, Bronc Adams; children: Sara (Brian) Schmidt, Heather (Nathan) Ellis, and Austin Gray; grandchildren: Michael, Jazmine, Damian, Koby, Jesse, Justin, Kaygen, Adeline, Lyrik, and Ellie; lifetime best friend and his son, Donnie and Joey Brunzel; dog, Doobie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and adopted family and friends.

A private Celebration of Life service for close family and friends will be held at a later date.
