Mrs. Helen Irene Dogan (née Mackey) died peacefully at Alive Hospice on January 15, 2020 in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 100.

Irene is survived by her Niece, Sherley Higuera (Jerry),San Francisco CA; Niece, Diane Stepp (Charles), Clarksville TN; Nephew, Gary Ringler ( Dorothy), Hartville OH; Nephew, Victor Spitali III (Sharon) Tucson AZ; Larry Spitali (Chris), Phoenix AZ; Victor Spitali Jr. (Sandy), Anacortes WA; and many more. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Roy and Hilda (Lyons) Mackey; sisters, June Mackey Spitali, Clarksville TN and Grace Anderson Hager, Port Hadlock, WA.

Irene was born on October 11, 1919 in Akron, Ohio to James and Hilda (Lyons) Mackey. She married James Edward Dogan in 1943.

Irene was an avid reader who spent most of her time entertaining herself with Mystery books.

No services are planned in honor of her wishes. The family would like to thank the staff of Skyline Hospital of Nashville for their efforts and dedication; also the staff of Alive Hospice in Nashville.
