Jon Andrew Brooks:
1958-2020
Jon Brooks soared into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, doing the thing he loved, riding his Harley Davidson Sportster on April 18, 2020. He was born November 5, 1958 to Elizabeth (Herter) and Edward Brooks. Jon was a sweet, quirky, tenderhearted man that loved Jesus, his wife and their dog, his four children, motorcycles, guns and guitars. He excelled in woodworking and eventually landed what he considered his dream job at Hemphill Brothers Coach Company.
Jon loved to worship God with a guitar and singing harmony came naturally to him. He especially loved the old hymns and he used this gift to bring people into the presence of God, where he loved to be, and now remains forever. He will be indescribably missed by his wife Kathleen, sister Betsy, brother Greg, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jon is also mourned by his brothers and sisters in the Tribe of Judah motorcycle ministry, where he felt accepted and loved for who he was.
A Celebration of Jon's Life will take place at The Well of Nashville church in Goodlettsville, TN. The date will be determined when the Covid-19 season has passed. The family requests that any donations be made to the Isaiah 58 Ministry in Jon's name. Donations may be made by clicking this link: http://www.isa58.org/
Tennessee Cremation Care is honored to be entrusted with Jon's cremation service. Please visit his tribute wall to leave an online message for the family.
