Very few people in this world have the ability to make a positive impact on everyone they meet, but Joey Laggan was one of those people. Joseph “Joey” Victor Laggan, 40, died in Clarksville, TN on November 14, 2024. Joey was born in Galveston, TX in 1984 to Joseph Laggan and Christine Sokoloski. Joey was an Army Veteran, Unmanned Aircraft Pilot, and Instructor. However, beyond that, Joey was the best man you could ever hope to meet.
Joey was charming, funny, and had an ability to always make the people around him feel good, even if his sense of humor leaned toward inappropriate. He was a musician and deeply artistic. He was the type of person to listen to a song and immediately understand the depths and emotions that others may miss. Joey cared deeply for the happiness and well-being of others. Whether it was a stranger in need or a good friend struggling, he would do anything he could to help. He was a supporter and an advocate to everyone in his life. If you were going through hard times, Joey would be there to give you advice and lift you up. He was a protector, cherishing everyone around him and doing everything he could to ensure that they were safe and happy. He saw the best in everyone he met and made a point to show them how amazing they are.
Joey is preceded in death by Joseph A. Laggan, Zita Laggan, and Edward Laggan. He is survived by his wife, Kelsey Laggan; his daughter; sister; Nichole Laggan; father, Joe Laggan; mother, Lauri Andrews; best friend, Casey Billups; and so many more people who loved and appreciated him.
A private ceremony will be held with close family and friends in the near future. If you would like to honor Joey as well, here are a few things he would have loved to do with you: Help someone in need, make someone smile, truly listen to your favorite music, be a champion for your friends and family, but most of all - do your best to make a positive impact on this world.
“You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us, and the world will live as one.” John Lennon, Imagine
