Lilian Cetina died peacefully surrounded by her children and friends on September 11, 2024, at her home in Clarksville, TN after a long battle with declining health due to COVID complications.
Lilian was born on February 7, 1967, in Guatemala City, Guatemala to Lidia Gordiano and Manuel Alvarez. She married Jose Cetina on December 24, 1987, and was happily married to Jose for nearly 30 years before his death in 2017.
Lilian is survived by her six children: Christian Cetina, Maribel (Loren) Cetina, Thalia Cetina, Mayra (Jesus) Sierra, Jorge Cetina, and Katie Cetina; two grandchildren; Sebastian Sierra and Benjamin Sierra; four granddogsL Mia, Gus, Charlie, and Anakin; mother, Lidia Gordiano; and siblings: Silvia Chavez, Reyna Alvarez, and Enrique Alvarez.
Besides spending time with her family, Lilian had a passion for life and was always the life of the party. Lilian and Jose were always the first ones on the dance floor and the last to leave, her smile would lighten up a room, and her “good morning/good night” Snoopy texts will be missed by those lucky enough to receive them daily. She has touched so many lives and will be dearly missed. Lilian was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and her faith was a big part of how she lived her life in service of others.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Chapel located at 801 Lafayette Road, Clarksville, TN.
Please visit Lilian's tribute wall and share a memory with the family.
