Linda Jean Provo, age 75 of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.  She was born on March 6, 1945 in Wateska, IL to Thomas McClain and Geraldine (Sapp) McClain.

Linda is survived by her husband, Gregory Provo of Clarksville; her children, Julie (Goldsberry) Harmon, Bryan Provo, Richard Goldsberry, Billie Jo Goldsberry, and Bianca Burns; twin brothers, Tom McClain and Jerry McClain; and a sister, Glenda McClain. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Linda was very proud of being a devoted Navy wife and spent many hours sitting and watching the Pacific ocean coastline. She had a deep knowledge of her family history over the generations and enjoyed sharing this knowledge with her family and friends. Linda also found joy in gardening and was very proud of her home and loved decorating it throughout the year. She found comfort in her many faithful dogs over the years and enjoyed listening to country music. She was especially fond of the company of her many friends and co-workers from the Jack-in-the-Box corporate headquarters in San Diego, as well as the many friends and tourists she met while working in Old Town San Diego.

The family would like to express that Linda passed away due to severe pneumonia and other complications unrelated to COVID-19.

A formal celebration of life will be held at a later date to be determined, but the family asks that the virtual celebration of life continue among Linda's family and friends in whichever manner they feel comfortable.

The plans for the interment of Linda's cremains in a columbarium within the National Cemetery in California will take place upon site approval. Ultimately, Greg and Linda will rest there together for all eternity.
