Lonnie Nelson Washington was born in Springfield, Tennessee, on September 21, 1963 to the union of the late Birdie Ann And Robert Lewis Washington.
Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents Robert Lewis Washington, Birdie Ann Washington, his grandparents Gaybell V. Johnson Payne & Charlie Payne, his beloved sister Janice Menesse, uncles Tommy Payne and Charlie Payne Jr., aunties Dora Ellis, Janice Payne, and Faye Payne.
Lonnie attended school in the Robertson County School System. He was a member of the Gigolos, whom you could've catch busting a move at any local party.
Lonnie begin to build a relationship with the Lord, while rebuilding a relationship with his oldest children. He devoted his life to Christ on August 18, 2013 at Beards Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Springfield, TN. Even though he was known for his grumpy moods, his generous heart to help others trumped it all. He loved making people laugh with his silly songs and jokes. His most prized possession in life was his loving family. Although, he loved all his family; his children, nieces, and nephews were dearest to his heart.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughters, Clarissa (Ladaverick) Gardner, Lonniesha Washington, both of Springfield, TN, One son, Darius Gardner of Springfield, TN. Grandchildren, KyAsia Gardner, KyMarieon Gardner, and Ladaverick Suggs Jr.; four brothers, Robert "Donnie" (Shelley) Payne, Leslie Washington, and Mark "Barbara" Washington, and Jarelle Taylor of Springfield, TN; and two sisters Donna Faye Washington of Johnson City, TN and Cassandra Lynn Williams of Nashville, TN; one aunt Brenda Blakemore of Springfield, TN and one great aunt Clara Harris of Springfield, TN; Special friend, Melissa Pendleton Shakur of Springfield,TN; daughters in love, Aliycn Keel, Kathryn Bernstein, and Carlisha Joyner all of Springfield, TN and a host of nieces and nephews.
