Margaret “Magi” Dougal passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025, leaving behind a loving family and many dear friends. Born on May 19, 1956, in Shrewsbury, MA, Magi relocated to Tennessee in the late 1980s, where she built a life surrounded by close-knit friendships. For over 30 years, she thrived as a local bartender, where her regular customers soon became friends, and those friends became family. Magi’s quick wit and distinctive accent were always part of her charm. Whether joking about her pronunciation of words like “Harvard” or “park,” she welcomed humor with open arms, always ready to deliver a clever comeback.
She is survived by her cherished children and is preceded in death by her life partner, Daniel Campbell. May they now reunite at the lighthouse in Maine.
A quote that resonated deeply with Magi was: “A strong friendship doesn’t need daily conversations, doesn’t always need togetherness; as long as the relationship lives in the heart, the friendship will never part.”
After a life well-lived, we say, “After while, crocodile.” Magi will be missed, but her spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
A memorial for Magi will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Rookies Sports Bar.
