Nancy Jo Phipps

Nancy Jo Phipps peacefully left this world on December 28, 2023 with her children, Jason and Amanda by her side in Clarksville, Tennessee. She was born to Donald and Patricia Phipps on November 17, 1966 in Chicago Heights, Illinois.

She grew up in Steger, Illinois, and enjoyed a fulfilling career as a cosmetologist. Nancy was well-known for her love of the Chicago Blackhawks and her passion for fostering bottle-fed kittens, especially her beloved cat, Nuggie. 

She will be missed immensely by her children: Jason (Samantha) Phipps, Amanda (Cody) Wetzel, Karlie Kelley, Mackenzie Kelley, and Ty Kelley. She was a loving Nana to her grandchildren: Dakoda, Aiden, Rees, Barrett, Beau, and Matthew. She will also be missed by her siblings: Candy (Roger) Pfeifer, Curtis Phipps, Mike (Colleen) Phipps, Mary (Terry) Wilbanks, Patti (Ed) Boehm, Lisa Phipps, Peggy Phipps, and Peter Phipps; nieces; nephews; and extended family. Nancy was greeted in Heaven by her parents; brother, Lonnie; granddaughter, Kylee; and many fur babies. 

Nancy’s kindness and love left an imprint on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed, and surely not forgotten. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Easterday Hall at the Willard Wood Park in Crete, Illinois.
