Becky Lannom passed on May 16, 2019 at her home in Guthrie, Kentucky following a lengthy illness. Becky, the daughter of Lorene and Lester Lannom, was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and held a Masters Degree from the University of Dayton.
Becky enjoyed a long career as a professor of English at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri. Becky enjoyed all outdoor activities ranging from white water rafting on the Colorado River, riding stallions at a dude ranch In Wyoming, sailing the Atlantic and searching for sea shells at Pawley’s Island. During her final days Becky stated she was ready to go “home," having lived a full life, having seen much of the beauty this world offers, and anxious to see what awaits on the other side of the river.
Becky is survived by her brother, Charles Lannom, and wife Barbara, of Pinehurst, North Carolina.
A funeral Mass will be held at Saint Francis Of Assisi Catholic Church in Guthrie at 11:00 on Thursday May 23rd, with Father Frank Ruff officiating.
Tennessee Cremation Care is honored to be entrusted with her care. Condolences my be left on her tribute wall.
