Samuel Roland Carter, 82, passed away on February 22, 2025 at his home. He was born on December 23, 1941 in Tampa, FL to Elmer and Evelyn Rogers Carter.

In addition to his parents, Roland is preceded in death by his sisters, Joan Lucas and Susie Leavines and his brothers, Jerry Carter and Bobby Carter. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Karen Carter Snively; sons: Alan (Kim) Carter, Lenny (Angela) Carter, and Kenny (Christine) Carter; brother, Jimmy (Susan) Carter; grandchildren: Kristina, Rachel, Courtney, Josh, Amanda, Abigail, Seth, Cameron, Kaylon, Dylan, and Camden; 19 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

He spent eight years in the National Guard and Army. He was a supervisor and director of construction for a number of convenient stores and farming supply stores. He then opened his own A/C business. He was an active member of several churches including: Glad Tidings A/G, Tampa First A/G, Clair-Mel A/G, and The River Church. He loved Nascar races, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.

He will be missed by many.
