Sandra Louise Whittinghill (Czlonka)

Sandra Louise Whittinghill (Czlonka), 77, peacefully passed away on July 20, 2024, in Adams, Tennessee, surrounded by loved ones. Sandra was born in Hammond, Indiana on February 9, 1947.

Affectionately known as “Sandy” to all those she loved and cared for in life. Sandy’s love extended to her three children: Ray (Beth), Kevin, and Michele (Jeff) who remember her as a nurturing soul, always ready with comforting words. Also loved by Sandy are her surviving siblings, Karen Janowiak and Bobby Czlonka. She was blessed with seven grandchildren: Courtney, Cailey, Alexis, Grant, Megan, and Aiden. Sandy was loved by all those who were lucky enough to know her and she considered many others she met in life as family.

She loved Bingo, Elvis, The Bee Gees, and spending time with her family. She was a master of search a word puzzles, playing Scrabble, and a keen bird watcher. She also enjoyed cooking wonderful family favorite dishes, especially biscuits. Fond memories of Sandy include getting cards for any occasion and if you were lucky, you also received a $2.00 bill in the card. She never turned down a chance to go to a casino and play the slots.

Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, John and Clara Czlonka; loving husband, Clifford Ray Whittinghill, Sr.; brothers John “Dickie” Czlonka and Ron (Judy) Czlonka; sisters: Joan (Barney) Dudzik, Mary Ann (Paul) Goril, and Darlene (Steve)Janowiak; and granddaughter, Rhea. Following Sandy in death was her sister, Pat Komorowski (Don).
