Tammie Michelle Hill
1971-2021
Tammie Hill, age 49, passed into paradise at her home with her family in Clarksville, TN on April 1 st , 2021 from complications related to ALS, a disease she valiantly endured until her last breath. Tammie is preceded in death by her father, Edward Osborne previously of Ashland City, TN and her mother-in-law and best friend, Nellie Sue Hill previously of Henderson, KY. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Kelly Hill of Clarksville, her son Michael Osborne of Murfreesboro, her daughters Krista Hemby (Matthew) of Clarksville, and Emily Hill of Knoxville, her mother, Elaine Newsom (Jay) of Antioch, and her sisters Ada Newsom- Pomeroy (Troy) of Smyrna, and Melissa Dawn Williams (Shane) of Lebanon. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and her sweet grandson, Miles.
Despite experiencing adversity and hardship at different times in her life, Tammie led with love, valued and embodied loyalty and kindness, was undeniably adorable and often hilarious. She was fond of front porch sitting, afternoon naps, good TV, a comically eclectic taste in music, singing, driving, and taking care of her family, including her beloved Yorkshire terrier, Bob. Tammie always said she thought her purpose in this life was to be a mother and her greatest accomplishments were her children. May she know in the depths of her soul that having her as a mother, a wife, a daughter, and a sister has been one of the greatest joys this life could offer. Our sunshine, the song we sing, the hope we carry, the love that overflows--we owe it all to you, Mom.
Close family and friends will be contacted to attend a Celebration of Life at a later date. If you are so moved, you may make a donation in her memory to the ALS Foundation at als.org.
