Trudy Kurten (Eckert)

Trudy E. Kurten, 89, of Clarksville, TN passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025 in Westmoreland, TN. She was born on April 13, 1935 in Vineland, NJ. She was a fantastic wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and friend. She was strong in her Christian faith and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved baking, playing cards and games, camping, taking vacations, doing liquid embroidery, sewing, and crocheting. She was also a huge Elvis fan. Trudy retired from her position at the Motor Vehicle Division of the Arizona Department of Transportation in 2009.

She is survived by her sons, John (Evelina) Kurten of Florida and Charles (Cari) Dobbs of Clarksville, TN; daughter-in-law, Janet Ritza of CA; grandsons, Damien Kurten of CA and Brehnden Dobbs of NM; granddaughter, Camille Albritton of CA; great-grandsons, Mike and Jon Kurten of CA; and her fur babies: Sierra, Cleo, and Turtle. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Kurten; parents, George and Marie Eckert; and her sisters, Sandra Huff and Regina Green.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor may be made to the ASPCA or to the Humane Society.
