Vern Davis Jr.  1951-2019

A celebration of life is planned for Sunday, November 3 at 2 PM at the Red Olive Banquet Center: 1051 Ann Arbor Rd., Plymouth, MI.

Vern passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at home after an extended illness. He was born on October 9, 1951 to Vern O Davis and Rosa L Davis In Detroit Michigan.

Growing up Vern love to fish, camp, bike ride, roller skate and Ice skate. He was an avid Boy Scout and achieved Eagle Scout status. He graduated from Roosevelt high school class of 1969 and also earned a bachelors degree from Eastern  Michigan University. Vern had a variety of jobs during his lifetime including factory worker at GM, Direct sales, and truck driver being his most recent occupation. Vern was a very mechanical person and could fix anything but his passion was barbecuing and he loved to barbecue and cook for people.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Allan W. Davis. He is also survived by his loving companion of 40 years, Grace  Davis of Clarksville Tennessee; daughter Melissa Simon (Jimmie Blevins) of Willis Michigan; son Dean flanery (Dana) Of Greenville Ohio;
4 grandkids; 4 great-grandkids; sister, Kathy Williams(Eddie) Of Clewiston Florida; brother, Scott Davis of Ypsilanti Michigan; 6 nieces and 4 nephews, along with other loving family members that will miss him dearly.

Cremation has taken place. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help cover expenses. Tennessee Cremation Care is honored to be entrusted with Vern's cremation services. Please visit his tribute wall to leave an online condolence for the family.
