Wendy Lynn Kurttila
1962-2019
Wendy Lynn Kurttila (formerly Schneider) 57, passed from this life into the glorious presence of the God of the Universe on Wednesday September 11, 2019 at 5:40 PM after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease that had left her completely disabled. She left this world with the most delightful and peaceful smile on her beautiful face, as if she finally knew the secret that had only been knowable by faith throughout her life.
Wendy was borne on July 11, 1962 in Worland, Wyoming and was the first borne child of Ken and Lari Schneider.
Wendy was preceded in death by her mother, Lari Aslan, who passed away three years ago from a vascular version of the same disease.
Wendy had a passion for living, loved her family and friends well and was the best friend of her husband Dennis Kurttila who will spend the rest of his life being grateful for the 38 Years of marriage they enjoyed. She had a gift for singing and passed that gift on to her two lovely daughters Lacey Corbitt and Ondrea Kurttila who share her passion for music and expressing their creativity.
Wendy was a lover of Jesus and was one of a few people who were instrumental in helping her husband find God’s love and grace.
Wendy enjoyed travel, gardening and family get-togethers where she loved having time with her two children and three grandchildren Aurianna Mullins, Chloe Mullins and Noble Corbitt as well as her son in law Josh Corbitt.
For all of those that knew Wendy and who are aware of her passing, I would like to extend this invitation to a “Celebration of Life” service in her honor on Sunday September 22, 2019 which will be held at Park Avenue Baptist Church 4300 Park Avenue Nashville, Tennessee. The service will start at 4:00 PM and a visitation time will precede the service starting at 2:00 PM. There will be a meal served afterward where those who wish will all get the chance to talk about how she touched our lives.
Tennessee Cremation Care is honored to be entrusted with Wendy's cremation services. Please visit her tribute wall to leave a message for the family.
